Good Hope offers a range of ministries thoughtfully designed to address the needs within our church and our service to the larger community. Whether you are beginning to investigate questions of faith, or a long-time follower of Christ you will find a place that fits you.

Children

Children are a cherished part of the Good Hope family. We strive to serve them and let them serve others through a number of programs. Programs include Sunday School, Nursery, Children's Church, Vacation Bible School, and many other activities. A full list can be found on this page.

Choir

The Good Hope choir exists to assist the congregation in bringing glory to God through musical praise. This effort unites the choir in both voice and heart. The choir sings during the worship service monthly with more choral pieces sung  during the Christmas and Easter seasons.  Opportunities also exist for soloists and smaller ensembles.  Qualified instrumentalists are welcome to accompany choral pieces and play offertory.

Rehearsals are held Sundays 5:30-6:30 pm September through May.  Vocalists of all experience levels are welcome to join. The choir is directed by Kim Monroe and accompanied by Karen Hotham.

College and Career ministry meets Sunday evenings at 7:35 pm. It seeks to provide college students and those early in their careers with an opportunity to meet and encourage each other in their faith.

Pastoral and marriage counseling is available to members of Good Hope. Referrals are also available.

Growth Groups

Growth Groups are small group meetings that occur in homes. The size and settings of these groups enhance friendships and foster a depth of care for each other. The Biblical text of the previous week’s sermon is used as the text for the study.  The format of the study gives opportunity to study the text in more depth and yields life applications.  While these groups engage in a serious study of the Scriptures, laughter and joy abounds.

Fellowship

Fellowship is an important aspect of our church life. Good Hope seeks to provide a number of fellowship opportunities, all listed on this page.

Men’s Ministry

Men’s Ministry recognizes the need for men to have a venue where they can gather together. Currently, the Men’s Ministry consists of a weekly breakfast September through May with periodic breaks.  It begins at 6 am with breakfast provided followed by a study which concludes promptly at 6: 45.  The content of the study is grounded in Scripture and is crafted to be relevant to men’s spiritual development.

Good Hope recognizes that all have been recipients of God’s mercy. Mercy Ministries is an expression of the grace we have received. The practical ways in which Good Hope expresses this are available on this page

Missions

It is the goal of Good Hope to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to those near and far from us, ministering to them by word and deed.

Mothers of Young Children

Good Hope also seeks to provide a ministry to mothers of preschool aged children. See this page for a fun list of activities.

Newcomers and Membership

Periodically, a newcomer’s class is offered for those who would like to know more about the ministries of Good Hope and the pathway to membership. In addition, the pastor is available throughout the year to meet and discuss questions about Good Hope.

Youth Ministry

Good Hope Youth Ministry strives to meet teens where they are and make them feel at home. Visit the Youth page for more information!

Women in the Church

The purpose of the Women’s Ministry of Good Hope is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His Kingdom in her life, home, church, community and throughout the world. We carry out a number of specific ministries: Bible Studies, women's conferences, large and small group social events, the care of families and individuals in special need, local outreaches into the community, as well as other ministries designed to meet the needs not only of women but of the entire church.
